Ready to prepare crispy Cheese Balls at Home? Let's Start!

Crispy Cheese Balls are loved by people of all age groups! Children love them and I am sure you love to have them too. They serve as a great party snack or you can make and serve them when guests come over as well. So, let’s make some delicious and crispy potato cheese balls today!

 

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 15-20 minutes

Servings: 15 cheese balls

List of Ingredients

For Cheese Balls Mixture

  • Grated Processed cheese – 250 gm (1 cup)
  • Grated Paneer – 150 gm (3/4th cup)
  • Smashed Boiled Potatoes – 200 gm (2/3rd cup)
  • Chili Flakes (2 tbsp) or 3-4 chopped green chillies
  • Chopped Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt – As per taste
  • Flour (Maida) – 1 tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs – 3 tbsp

For Slurry

  • Cornflour – 1 cup
  • Flour (maida) – ½ cup
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Pepper – 1 tsp
  • Water – 3/4th cup

For Coating and Frying

  • Prepared Slurry
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil

For Dressing

  • Mayonnaise

Steps To Prepare Cheese Balls Mixture

Adding cheese to bowl

Step 1: Add the Grated cheese in the bowl.

Step 2: Then add the grated paneer.

Step 3: After that, add the smashed boil potatoes.

Step 4: After this, add the coriander.

Step 5: Then, pour the ginger garlic paste.

Step 6: Add salt and pepper and chili flakes. Make sure to not add too much salt as cheese contains salt.

Step 7: Add the flour.

Step 8: Then add the breadcrumbs.

Step 9: After adding all the ingredients in the bowl, mix the ingredients properly.

Making a dough

Step 10: Knead it in the shape of a dough.

Step 11: Let the dough rest for 5 mins. Then take adequate amount of the mixture and shape it into ball.

Repeat process

Step 12: Repeat this process for the entire dough.

Your Mixture is Ready, Now Go-ahead for The Slurry!

Step 1: Add the cornflour, maida, salt and pepper and mix well.

Step 2: Then add the water gradually and make a smooth slurry. Make sure the slurry is not too thick.

And Finally, Steps to Prepare Coating and Frying

Arranging for frying

Step 1: Arrange the bread crumbs, slurry and the cheese balls. You will use your right hand for dipping the cheese balls in the slurry and your left hand for coating the balls with the breadcrumbs.

Step 2: Dip the cheese balls in the slurry with your right hand, then coat them with the breadcrumbs with your left hand. Repeat this process for all the remaining balls.

Store in fridge

Step 3: Keep the coated balls in the fridge for 15 mins for them to set properly.

Oil

Step 4: Heat the oil in a pan until you see little smoke coming out.

Step 5: Fry the coated cheese balls in the hot oil until they turn crispy and golden brown.

Your delicious crispy cheese balls are ready!

Cheese Balls Final Preparation

You can serve them with mayonnaise, ketchup or any other dip that you like! Enjoy your evening.
